For the best coffee storage minimal air and light exposure is critical. A Mason Jar (leave it slightly open one day for fresh roast) is a great way to save coffee. Fresh roast will stay at best freshness for anywhere from 5-7 days, but will start to rapidly become stale after about 3 weeks. Green coffee can be stored optimally for about 12 months (but 6-8 months or less is recommended.) We use Grainpro bags to protect freshness thus extending as long as possible the best flavors.

There are many coffee preparation methods depending on taste. Personally, we’ve grown addicted to coffee prepared in a French Press Aeropress coffee maker so much so that we take a small one wherever we go. (Of course we’re obsessive about weighing coffee, grinding at the last minute etc too.)
