Christmas in Lima

Spending Christmas away from home in Northwest Arizona is hard sometimes, but on the other hand, it is summer in Lima and the days are longer & the weather generally nice. Today, we’ll spend some time at the Plaza de Armas to see this years Christmas decorations, and let the pictures  do most of the talking…

We head to Centro de Lima and the Plaza de Armas (Main square.)

The old post office/telegraph office has morphed over the years & now hosts “The House of Peruvian Gastronomy.”

After all that walking around, there’s nothing like a pasteleria (cake store) for that delicious non paleo diet treat you’ve been craving…

We picked a maracuya (passion fruit) cake for me, and a tiramisu portion for Yrma. Yum!
