Other Useful Coffee Stuff

Cool coffee stuff are things that we encounter in the coffee world that we like and use regularly. Whether it’s a useful tool, or related to home roasting, coffee preparation etc. This is where we’ll try to share the cool coffee stuff…

For the best coffee storage minimal air and light exposure is critical. A Mason Jar (leave it slightly open one day for fresh roast) is a great way to save coffee. Fresh roast will stay at best freshness for anywhere from 5-7 days, but will start to rapidly become stale after about 3 weeks. Green coffee can be stored optimally for about 12 months (but 6-8 months or less is recommended.) We use Grainpro bags to protect freshness thus extending as long as possible the best flavors.

There are many coffee preparation methods depending on taste. Personally, we’ve grown addicted to coffee prepared in a French Press Aeropress coffee maker so much so that we take a small one wherever we go. (Of course we’re obsessive about weighing coffee, grinding at the last minute etc too.) As SCAA says,”Because great coffee doesn’t just happen.” Check our online items for the best results with your delicious Curibamba Coffee!
