Machu Picchu Monday
Monday again. We raced back from New Mexico yesterday, as we may have to go back in a couple of weeks for a few days. Somewhat dazed after delivering coffee to Las Vegas and then to Phoenix, we’re glad to be back on the ranch this week.
Here’s a pic of some weaving we came across in Pisaq, below Cusco in the Sacred Valley:
Bonus: Saguaro flowers

Machu Picchu Monday
It was a pleasant weekend with temperatures in the 70’s and sunny. We’re enjoying it here in Arizona because soon it will climb over 100 degrees again, and we’re trapped inside the “jail” except for cooler times in the early morning or late day. Of course, that’s why God invented Colorado!
Have a good week, be sure to be kind.
This is El Albergue, a hotel in Ollantaytambo which is the last place that one can catch the train to Machu Picchu. It’s wise to have a reservation in advance, or it’s possible to have wait 2-3 days for a seat. It’s a cool little town, chock full of tourists from all over the world. It’s a good place to hang out, and try to build up some resistance to the altitude which is 2,792 m (9,160 ft) here. Machu Picchu is even lower at 2,430 m (7,970 ft.)
